Production Of Different Ways Of Epoxidized Soybean Oil
Epoxidized soybean oil production processes mainly include solvent and non-solvent methods.
1. The solvent used in the solvent method is benzene, the production process is long, the investment is large, the environmental pollution is large, the recovery of benzene is very difficult and the product quality is poor, and the process has been eliminated.
2. The non-solvent method is the reaction of formic acid or acetic acid with hydrogen peroxide to form an epoxidizing agent by a catalyst, and the epoxidizing agent is reacted with soybean oil to obtain a product. The catalyst used in the non-solvent method is usually concentrated H2SO4, an organic acid, a strongly acidic cation exchange resin, and A12(SO4)
3. When concentrated H2SO4 is used as the catalyst, the post-treatment is relatively complicated, causing serious damage to the equipment and serious environmental pollution. At present, most manufacturers use non-solvent methods using concentrated sulfuric acid as a catalyst to produce epoxidized soybean oil, and the quality of the products produced is poor. The non-solvent method does not add any catalyst to produce a product with good quality, and its side reaction is much less than that of epoxidized soybean oil catalyzed by concentrated sulfuric acid.
