Russia's Soybean Imports In January-april 2019 Fell 14 Percent From A Year Earlier

Russia imported 597,600 tons of soybeans from January to April 2019, worth $239.6 million, down 14 percent and 22.3 percent respectively from the same period last year, according to data released by the general administration of customs.

In the same period, Russian imports of palm oil were 36.17 million tons, up 7.9 percent year-on-year, while the value of palm oil was 224.8 million dollars, down 10.7 percent year-on-year.

Russia imported 72,600 tons of wheat and mixed wheat in the first four months of this year, worth $16.9 million. Corn imports were 25,100 tons, worth $90 million. Barley imports were 3,800 tons, worth $1.5 million.
