The Latest Total Volume Of Us Soybean Exports To China Fell 54.5 Percent Year-on-year

Total U.S. soybean exports to China fell 54.5 percent from a year earlier and 55.3 percent from a week earlier, according to the U.S. department of agriculture's weekly export sales report.


As of April 18, 2019, shipments of soybeans from the United States to China (mainland) for the 2018/19 year, which began on September 1, were 5.528 million tons, still far below the 26.285 million tons shipped in the same period last year.


The us shipped 67,100 tonnes of soyabeans to China in the week, compared with 130,000 tonnes the week before.


So far, 7.606m tonnes of us soyabeans have been sold but not shipped to China in 2018/19, compared with 2.582m tonnes in the same period last year.


Total U.S. soybean sales to China so far in 2018/19 (both shipped and unshipped) are 13.34 million tons, down 4.5 percent from 28.867 million tons in the same period last year, down 55.3 percent from the previous week and 55.3 percent from two weeks ago.


U.S. soybean sales to China for the 2020/20 year were 63,000 tons, unchanged from the previous week.


In its April 2019 supply and demand report, the U.S. department of agriculture forecast China's soybean imports to be 88 million tons in 2018/19 (October to September), unchanged from its march forecast.
