The Latest Total Volume Of Us Soybean Exports To China Fell 53.5 Per Cent Year-on-year

Total U.S. soybean exports to China fell 53.5 percent from a year earlier and 53.8 percent from a week earlier, according to the U.S. department of agriculture's weekly export sales report.

As of May 16, 2019, shipments of soybeans from the United States to China (mainland) for the 2018/19 year, which began on September 1, were 6.343 million tons, down from 26.816 million tons in the same period last year.

The us shipped 272,000 tonnes of soya beans to China in the week, compared with 206,000 tonnes in the previous week.

So far, the U.S. has sold but not shipped 70.05 million tons of soybeans to China in 2018/19, up from 1.866 million tons in the same period last year.

Total us soyabean sales to China so far in 2018/19 (both shipped and unshipped) are 13.347m tonnes, down 53.5 per cent from 28.682m tonnes in the same period last year, compared with 53.8 per cent in the previous week and 53.8 per cent two weeks ago.

U.S. soybean sales to China for the 2020/20 year were 63,000 tons, unchanged from the previous week.

In its May 2019 supply and demand report, the usda forecast China's soybean imports for 2018/19 (October to September) at 86 million tons, down 2 million tons from its April forecast.
