The Tendency Of Non-phthalate Plasticizer

Recently, several European countries including Austria, Denmark, Norway, and Sweden have taken steps to ban the use of certain chemcial plasticizers in children's toys.  The bans follow closely on the heal of the results of several tests conducted by various European countries, as well as the environmental group Greenpeace.  These tests have indicated that phthalate plasticizers in PVC (polyvinyl chloride or vinyl) plastic toys pose a health risk to small children.

Phthalate ester plasticizers have dominated the flexible PVC market for a long time.  However, they have some serious non-phthalate competition, including some newer alternatives. The phthalates’ strong market hold is losing steam —primarily in Europe, but in North America as well.

Last year, Houston-based IHS Chemical reported that phthalates accounted for 70% of the world’s consumption of plasticizers in 2014, down from about 88% in 2005, and are projected to drop to 65% in 2019.

We, Jiaao Enprotech, are always trying our best efforts in developing new environmental plasticizers to replace phthalate plasticizers.

For primary plasticizer, we have DOTP, TOTM, JD81, etc.  For bio-plasticizer, we have ESBO, EFAME, and Chlorinated FAME, etc.  For functional plasticizer, we have DOA and DOS.

Using non-phthalate plasticizer is the trend of PVC industry. If you have any question on environmental plasticizer, please don't hesitate to contact with us.
