What Is The Principle Of Cold-resistant Plasticizer?

The usual ring plasticizers are mostly derived from the reaction of benzene as a solvent, and there will be traces of benzene in the product; while the cold-resistant plasticizer is synthesized by a solvent-free process and does not contain toxic solvents, which can reduce the amount of Pollution caused by toxic fumes.

The principle of action of cold-resistant plasticizers is generally considered to be the following two:

1) When the plasticizer and the resin melt together, the small molecules of the plasticizer's principle of action will be inserted between the polymer molecular chains, weakening the gravitational force between the polymer molecular chains, and the plasticizer's principle of action increases The distance between them increases, as a result, the possibility of polymer molecular chain movement is increased, and the entanglement between polymer molecular chains is reduced, so that the resin can undergo glass transition at a lower temperature, thereby increasing the plasticity of the plastic. . It can be seen that the principle of action of plasticizers is the gravitational force and entanglement between polymer molecular chains which are a major cause of anti-plasticization.

2) The molecular structure of the polymer also affects the attraction between the polymer molecular chains, especially the properties of the groups on the polymer molecular chain. The interaction between the molecular chains with strong polar groups is large, and there are non-polar groups. The force between the molecular chains is small. In order to make the polymer with strong polar groups easy to shape, a plasticizer can be added. The polar group of the plasticizer will interact with the polar group of the polymer, thereby weakening The gravity between the polymers has achieved the purpose of plasticization.
